A letter from the father she thought was dead sends Nora Whiteside to Wyoming to seek something that's been missing all her life. Instead of her dad she finds Tucker Greene waiting at the house. He tells Nora her dad is in the hospital with end stage lung cancer. It seems her dad had ulterior motives in inviting Nora to come. He wants to see her but he also wants to do some matchmaking between Nora and Tucker.

Sara Dennis weaves a great tale. There's a well done subtlety that lets us believe fate may be playing a hand in helping the romance grow. Nora's mother and father each get to share their side of why she didn't get to grow up with two parents. A lot of little nuances in the telling give me a feeling of empathy for her dad. Nora and Tucker seem to be from different worlds but when the author fills in details about his past it really helps us understand him better. This book is full of well done characters and dialogue that helps make it special.
