| Pastor Isaac needed help. He worked so hard and in the upcoming months he would be extremely busy performing weddings. For some reason, his congregation seemed to be getting engaged. He spent half his office time doing premarital counseling. The combined efforts of the town’s dueling match makers decided they knew he needed a wife. They even knew who that wife should be. Isaac, however, did not believe he could ever date anyone in his church family because of potential problems. If he would allow himself to take anyone out, it would be Joy, his church’s angelic musician.
Joy Harper was the church organist. She was so shy that she basically withdrew into herselfnever socializing or going out in public. The only times she was truly alive and welcoming was when she was playing and/or singing. She transformed into an angel as she served God with her music. She was secretly in love with Pastor Isaac but she knew that he needed a helpmate who was outgoing with his congregation. Finding Joy, the ninth book in the Orchard Hill Series, appears to be the last we readers will hear from that particularly well-liked town. When I started reading these books, I had no idea they would cover so much territory and so many loving couples. The matchmakers themselves, Pansy and Misty, ages 75 and 50, were the biggest rivals in this town. They each ended up in love with the other’s father and son. Now that they are to be related, will anything ever be the same in Orchard Hill? And my biggest question is what Ms. Russell’s readers can look forward to. This has to have given her a myriad of new followers. I would seriously pick up anything I could find by this author. Her style is upbeat, sometimes comical, and always romantic. The characters from her small town are always solid citizens who just happen to be lonely. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys inspirational romance. This one can even be passed to your younger readers. Thanks, Ms. Russell, for this fabulous storyline.
