Miss Douglas has worked her magic with the reader as well. The story is split fairly equally between the two couples, the lovemaking between both couples hot and heavy. Lester and Tady were not secondary characters, but heroes in their own right. You want to visit the Island yourself, to find your own handsome hero. And whether you are straight or gay, there seems to be someone for everyone. Though Amanda's first impression of Lorcan was less than impressive, Tady was able to straighten Lorcan out and he then had a better second meeting. Tady and Lester did not have the same problem with their own first meeting.

I loved the interaction between Lorcan and Tady, and between Amanda and Lester. You can tell there is great affection between them, and the interactions help both Lorcan and Amanda sort out their feelings for the other. Tady and Lester do not have the same initial problems with their attraction to the other, but they do have the insecurity of are they right for each other. Watching Tady and Lester explore their attraction to each other was just as exciting as watching Amanda and Lorcan explore theirs.

I can't wait to revisit Chimera Island again, and hope that Ms Douglas will continue to send invitations to the men and women she thinks will make good mates. Maybe she can find someone for me and send me an invitation?
