Nick is a mystery novelist, but was sucked into a bet that he must complete a romance novel by the end of summer. His reward would be a year in his cousin's comfortable lake cabin, instead of life in his current cramped camper. He is having significant difficulty until Celeste moves her camper next to his. The attraction is almost immediate and continues to grow the more time, they spend together. Unfortunately, real life has interfered with their time together and they will need to nurture their new relationship, as they try to find a way to be together.

I discovered, Celeste is a woman most of us can identify and root for in the blossoming relationship. The author does an impressive job of making us identify with the hardship of balancing responsibilities and being true to ones dreams, as well as making both characters likeable and realistic. Nick and Celeste's relationship was portrayed as romantic and believable and their verbal bantering was funny and endearing. Betty Jo Schuler has provided a splendid story.
