A Fine Specimen, written by one of my favorite authors, is one of those rich delights that’s oh so naughty and definitely decadent. Lisa Marie’s prose flows through you like smooth, dark chocolate desert with lashings of full fat cream. Caitlin is adorable and she’s not a child by any stretch of the imagination but she looks it. Her fumbling around Alex is a delight and amusing -- you can only imagine the poor girl’s distress. I easily commiserated with her. Alex is dominant, especially in his work. But his caring and his feelings of responsibility make him worse in some respects. He really is rather sweet, however, he assumes rather than speaks his mind and you really just want to smack him. Both characters are rich and vibrant and their relationship smolders before catching into flames.

An explosive finale adds some tension and drama. I truly loved reading this book. It leaves you with a satisfied feeling and a smile. Lisa Marie is one of those authors that write erotic romance with elegance and a touch of class, managing to convey eroticism without being over the top.
