| Fiona Sheldon grows tired of taking orders from husband, Duncan. Since the arrival of her best friend, Bethany, Duncan demands they have a threesome but Fiona is dead set against it. When his next order is to be nice to their dinner guest, Alessandro Trimarchi, and she doesn’t do as Duncan demands, he takes matters into his hands and makes sure he gets his way with Fiona and Bethany. Alessandro knows all about the life that Duncan lives. He wants the money that Duncan owes him even if he has to kidnap Fiona to get him to pay. Alessandro didn’t realize he would get two women to bargain for since he knew something was going on between Duncan and Bethany. Fiona doesn’t want to believe anything that Alessandro says. She wants to be free. Instead, Alessandro has other plans for sweet Fiona and they include erotic sexual fantasies that she has never known. Can Alessandro show her the joys of what she has been missing without making her feel degraded? Or will she return to Duncan?
Fiona’s Fate is a delectable read. My heart went out to Fiona. I could practically feel her pain. I wanted to take Duncan and squash him like a bug, then squash him again. Fredrica Alleyn takes Fiona and makes her into a life-like character then places her in a real situation where the reader cares for her. Fiona is placed in situations where she finds a way to cope the best way she can. All the characters in the book are vibrant, and well-developed. The scenes are well-written and definitely hot. If I can say, there are some scenes, with Fiona, that are quite satisfying and fascinating. Even Bethany plays her role very well in this story that keeps the pages a turning.
