This is the story of Myrric the High Fire Mage and Arlynn the High Healer of Illis. Arlynn is called to help heal the wounded that survived a battle at Swan Field. She comes across a man that is badly charred and begins to heal him with a kiss but is overpowered. That kiss will forever link these two. One that gets his power from the fire and one that gets her power from the ocean are linked forever. Read to see what happens when they come together.

Fire and Water is a story of healing. There is passion in the healing and a sharing of the souls. The encounter is highly graphic in detail and easily visualized. What happens when you combine two such strong elements? Will the water extinguish the flames or will fire evaporate the water? Arlynn and Myrric both have the potential for greatness. I would like to learn more about each of these two characters. Such as what caused the battle that has brought the two together but it is unnecessary for the story. There is sadness in this story and hope for a better day. The dialogue is well written and flows smoothly. The thoughts and emotions are conveyed clearly through the words of S.D. Grady. It is hard to describe this story without giving too much away. As in most romances you hope that the two main characters will live happily ever after but things do not always work out that way. Things in the story happen for a reason and leave room for many stories to follow. S.D Grady has created a magical world in her story Fire and Water that I look forward to revisiting.
