Fired Up has a simple plot made interesting and unique by the paranormal elements. You can't help but love the characters. Erich and Sarya are both unloved by their families and that loneliness led them to Strange Hollow. I loved how Strange Hollow accepts the residents for what is inside and not for what they can do or say. It's a great lesson written into a romance story. I couldn't help but think how much happier humans could be if a place like Strange Hollow really existed! There is conflict in the story yet it is understated, leaving the main focus on how Erich and Sarya get to know each other. The sex is hot and erotic yet also tender and emotional. I loved how the tables were turned on Erich in the end when Sarya stroked him in just the right spot. This short story is perfect for a quick lighthearted read with some deeper elements written in.
