| The second time she’s burned for being a witch Emmy ends up in Sidney Australia four hundred years into the future. She’s surprised to find a homeless woman named Bea as a guide to the new time and new rules. She’s even more enthralled to find that Zac, a forbidden angel, draws her to him no matter what the pain or consequences.
Yolanda Sfetsos has done a great job with tongue in cheek humor. Seems the only reason the dark side got Emmy when she asked for help the first time was because she was imperfect. Emmy and Zac seem so perfect for one another but, in this world where Celestials and Demons run the show, contact is forbidden. The avenging angel, Gordon, doesn’t care what they’ve done, just that they are opposites and should never be together. Seems a lot like the real world in paranormal form to me! I appreciate Ms. Sfetsos’ humor and look at life here when Bea, a so called Demon, is the broader minded of the two leaders of the pack so to speak. The author does a great job with character building, Emmy and Zac’s relationship, dialogue and her own observations of people speaking for Emmy.. This is a great look at love, people and the world. Besides that, it’s a lot of fun to read!
