| The cougar shifter, Lyndon Granger, is a researcher with an affinity for wolves. Living deep in the forest, he studies the two local wolf packs until the day they chase an injured wolf straight to his back door. But this isn't just any old wild wolf, but a wolf shifter. Jason Stanville is enjoying his only yearly freedom from his over protective family, two weeks in the forest where he can let his wolf run. Running free, at least until the local packs turn on him and chase him out of their territory and up to the remote cabin of a giant of a man who recognizes what he truly is and offers to heal his wounded paw. Just the kind of man he should be running from.
Jason, too pretty to be a man, has been abused and injured by men in his past and his family has done everything to keep him confined and protected. He has to decide if Lyndon, a seemingly gentle giant, is like all the others in his past or someone he can trust. Normally, I don't read M/M erotica, but I was pleasantly surprised at First Christmas. It is a tender, well written love story and it just happens to be between two men, instead of a man and woman. Lyndon is understanding of Jason's fears and treats the abuse younger man with respect and dignity. It was a pleasure to read.
