Emily Kagan is helping her younger brother with a school project in a cemetery when she is enraptured by a sexy foreigner. Before she knows it, her mystery man bites her and she hightales it out of there. Creepy encounter aside, Emily cannot forget her sepulchral seduction and she now has a bond with her tall stranger.

Malcolm Blackmon accepts a vampire friend's offer to turn him and upon first waking he mistakes the beautiful young dancer for his donor. His new family warns him that his fixation is a trick of his memory. But Malcolm's spirit visits Emily during the day and night. Can this connection last?

This was a fascinating read. I enjoyed the added paranormal elements to this story giving it a twist from your typical vampire tale. At times, the pace was a little slow but over all it was a quick read. Both Malcolm and Emily are well-written and the secondary characters add greatly to the story without hindering the plot. The storyline is fun and yet at times brutal, carnal yet sweet, and always balanced. The dialogue is smooth and realistic and the banter between the heroine and hero is thoroughly enjoyable. I will recommend this captivating otherworldly tale to anyone who appreciates paranormal romances.
