| Twlya is the latest recruit in the order of woman warrior hunters the Hussies. She's a computer nerd, not a warrior, even with her skill in martial arts. That's about to change. Her task is to help rescue a computer specialist who's been working on a top-secret program for the military captured by the Russians. She needs to enlist the help of Jhett 'Hammer' Ramsey, soldier turned mercenary, who on first seeing him sends her libido sky high.
After surviving capture and living hell in the form of Stark, a place of torture in the Ukraine, Hammer hasn't felt desire in over a year. That changes when Twlya walks in to his tent. But when he finds out that she needs him and a team of his best men to help her, Hammer agrees eventually until he finds out where they are going. Going back to the Ukraine, and Stark in particular, takes everything in him to keep going. Finally giving in to the immense desire he feels for Twyla, the comfort he finds in her arms helps him maintain the control he needs to get them all out alive. Each book stands alone. Flyboy is a fantastic addition to The Hussies series. I loved Twlya. She's a large woman, tall, and built like an Amazon Warrior. But her size made her insecure. As far as she's concerned, she's not pretty and definitely not a girly girl. She's often considered one of the boys. But it doesn't take long for the boys to accept her and Hammer sure doesn't see her the way she sees herself. To him, she's beautiful. I loved that. The action in this book was well presented and flowed smoothly. Suspense added tension and at times, the camaraderie and banter between the team members made for light entertainment and a lot of grinning from me. The loves scenes were scorching and fit well into this story like a well-oiled machine. Excellent writing and superb entertainment.
