Jake wakes up from a climbing accident to find himself a werewolf. He must find a way to deal with this new lifestyle and incorporate himself into a pack. However, Jake wants to fight it. He doesn't want to be a werewolf. He wants his humanity back. He must compare life as he knew it with life as it is now and learn how to live, and love, all over again. Jake must turn to his friends and fellow pack members to find himself and discover his place in this new life.

I found Forbidden: The Temptation to be a very well written and intriguing story. The characters and scenery are brought to life with vivid descriptions. It is very easy to picture the rustic setting and the characters are very easy to believe. The biggest character problem in the book is the belief that Jake and Allison would sleep together on the first night they are together, given the circumstances that bring them together. Dialogue between the characters is very real and believable.

The climax of the book is very well written and believable. The characters perform like you would expect them to under the circumstances. This leads to a strong relationship with the characters and you find yourself cheering them on.

The sexual scenes in the book are a little overboard at the beginning since it was hard to believe they would have performed in that way the first night they met. After being together for a while, the sex scenes seemed more appropriate and believable. The sex scenes were also very explicit, but tastefully done.

Overall rating:
Sensuality rating: Explicit
