| Caila McKenna's father had one major rule when he turned over the day to day office management of McKenna trucking to her; Never, ever call Four Son's Towing for help. But when one of Caila's brother's lives hangs in the balance and Four Son's Towing is the only company that can probably save him, she doesn't hesitate to call but the assistance comes at a very high price. A forty year old debt must now be repaid and McKenna Trucking doesn't have the money. John Thunder doesn't seem to care, the debt is more than money it is revenge against a wrong done to his father by Caila's father. But when John and Caila meet for the first time, John has a hard time concentrating on business deals as he is instantly intrigued by the strong willed young woman in work books and a man's shirt sent to negotiate with him.
This is a delightful story. In the every day world of McKenna Trucking and Four Son's Towing there has never been a woman like Caila but the men at McKenna have had years to get used to the idea that Caila is anything but a normal woman and Four Son's hasn't seen anything yet! Caila is strong but charming, dresses like a tomboy but is all woman underneath, and she has an unfailing loyalty to her brothers and the employees of McKenna Trucking that the men at Four Son's can't help but admire, especially John Thunder. Caila also know how to negotiate and comes up with a creative plan to help Four Son's trucking out as well as pay on her father's debt. John knows the deal is fair for his company and the idea of making Caila and her brother's pay their father's debt is souring his stomach, especially when he starts to learn that the McKenna children may have been "paying" for their father's problems for years. I loved this story. It was intriguing, entertaining, and charming. If you love strong women lead characters and alpha men who learn to love them stories, this is a book for you!
