Banished from his home for lustful indecent behavior, Galin Olaf-Kin flees to the forest. With him is an infant who also needs sanctuary. Lord Erik is the forest lord who doesn't believe in the prophecy that a human delivering a baby to the forest will foretell his destined mate and unite the forest folk with the humans. When Lord Erik meets Galin he starts to believe in destiny.

A funny lighthearted story with some very interesting offbeat characters. A completely different take on the shifter story for sure. There's plenty of humorous moments and witty repartee between the characters. The Old World setting nicely completes the fantasy. Although the writing is crisp and the story solid, I just couldn't connect with the main characters in a romantic sense. The quirky characterizations and the author's unique humor drive the story but the story didn't resonate for me. The story wasn't what I expected but I can acknowledge that it was well written and although it wasn't my cup of tea other readers might enjoy it.
