| Life is never normal when you are a bereavement specialist. Olivia Peters was attacked as a teenager by a wereleopard, and not only survived but also actually killed the rogue monster. Something inside of her saved her - a power that she does not understand and does not want. Although she survived the attack, she became a different being. Even though she did not become a wereleopard herself, and her human DNA did not change - her abilities, her strengths, her power, and her life, did. Now working with a funeral home using some of her abilities to help those spirits that have died pass on more peacefully into their next life. She has also been able to prevent one lost soul from returning as a vampire. Life was never easy, but then a rogue vampire starts leaving bodies, and a very powerful Shaman named Anya is killed. Olivia can no longer avoid the paranormal beings that are in her world. Her boss strikes a bargain with the local vampire leader to help find the rogue vampire. And now Luka Niere, the wereleopard Ra'jann (leader), the vampires, and Olivia are all in for a battle for their lives.
Because Olivia wants to believe she is nothing but a human, she battles her attraction for Luka because he is not human, and a part of the subculture of paranormals. Olivia must come face-to-face with what she really is, and battle for her life against killers that will stop at nothing to destroy her power. Forever Crossed is paranormal reader's dream. The depth of the characters, the degree of world building, and the dark passionate powers is wonderful to behold. There should be another book continuing the story of Olivia Peters and if it ever appears, I cannot wait to read it.
