Being King of the Giovanni gypsy tribe, Mikael Giovanni has been doomed to live forever. Throughout his life he has seen everyone and everything he adores perish before his very eyes while he continues to live. He is very familiar with love and hate in all forms of life. Needing to find a place filled with peace he goes to a town named Patience where he finds Allison, a woman that brings back his long buried emotions, making him feel alive again. He discovers that while he has been cursed to live always, her life is soon to be severed by death. Can the both of them discover the one thing that they have given up on in life before it is too late?

Allison Tremant has been diagnosed with a terrible disease that consumes her body. For now she enjoys every day before the disease completely controls her system. Not wishing anyone to get too close to her when death does draw closer, she vows never to fall in love and allow anyone to endure the heartache of loss. That is before she meets Mikael, whom she is attracted to and would like nothing more than to spend the rest of her tomorrows with always. Is there any cure that can keep the two together?

A Forever Kind of Thing is truly a touching romance. It is so in-depth that it practically reaches to the soul. The characters understand grief and heartache as they try to endure their days the best way they know how. The magic between Mikael and Allison is so spellbinding that it pulls you into their web hoping that something will change the course for them and allow happiness to enter their lives forever. The secondary characters blend in well to make this a very worthwhile read. Sharon Cullen has created a story that is heart stirring and touches the reader immensely. This book truly fascinates beyond words. Once the story begins, it is very hard putting it down until the very last page.
