| Anjelia believes that Julian is wonderful, even if he’s a vampire. He’s been there for her after the whole fiasco with her ex-husband, and she really feels a connection with him. On the other hand, there was the night that she met Leo and felt an attraction to him that she didn’t expect. After all, that night it was close to the full moon and he was slightly insane from loosing his mate a while ago, but something still pulled at her. Oddly enough, it was soon after meeting Leo that she decided to take a chance with Julian…
This was a fast paced, absorbing story that I couldn’t put down. Told in first person from Anjelia’s perspective, the story drew me in and somehow made me like both of her love interests, even though they were at odds with each other. I thought that the interaction between her, Julian and Leo was just the right touch. Anjelia had led a pretty brutal life, but was still a strong person who was not afraid to go after what she wanted, which is one of the things that was really appealing to me. One of the best parts of the story was that there were a lot of twists and turns, but they were woven into the story very well, and by the end of the story I would not have figured on her ending up like she did. First person actually worked for me, it was like she was talking to a friend and describing what had gone on with her life. This story kept me on the edge of my seat and reading until I was through, and is definitely a keeper!
