Fear and pain have been Skylar’s constant companions. She's been kidnapped, her mind wiped clean of all her own memories, and she has no idea why. Fighting to remember leads only to pain. She’s determined not to give in to the memories of another woman forced brutally upon her. Rescued and taken to a safe haven by Dusty, a Shadow Walker, brings her hope, comfort, and love.

Dusty, going against orders, cannot leave another woman to suffer at the hands of the Shadow Walkers' enemy. Especially when he finds out what’s been done to her. Even though she resembles his leader's fiancée and has her memories, she’s also very different and becomes even more so as he helps her to regain her own.

Forsaken Talisman is a tremendous and exciting sequel to Lover’s Talisman. Although this story revolves around Dusty and Skylar, there's a larger picture building with several of the other characters. Dusty doesn’t hesitate to put his life on the line for a woman in need, nor does his friends. They rally around and close ranks, even if it means keeping their leader out of the picture. He’s a knight in shining armor, sensitive and caring. When he realizes that all is not what it seems, he feels guilt. Skylar is a strong woman. She’s frightened but she won’t let it take over, especially when she has Dusty in her corner. The emotion turmoil that hero and heroine go through creates tension. You can almost feel their angst. Love grows quickly, smolders and ignites into loves scenes that are sensual, erotic, and beautifully created. The friendship between the Shadow Walkers has endured and the strength of characters and personalities of each and everyone add something to this fantastic series.

I highly recommend this book, indeed this series, to lovers of paranormal and urban fantasies.
