| Xenon has the ring his father gave him before he died and his half brother Radon wants the ring for himself. It seems Hulda wants him to take Charis with him on his journey for it seems that the ring he wears is much more than it seems. He fears of taking Charis with him because he knows of the danger that surrounds him and the men that are hunting him. He is determined to keep her safe, but the decision is taken out of his hands. Will he find his heart becoming involved with the beautiful woman who seems to have no past? Just who is Charis and where did she come from?
This book will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. This book has everything including action, adventure, mystery and romance. Jane Toombs combines all of these elements to create characters and a plot that is memorable. This is the second in a series, but I didn't have to read the first one to understand it, even though I do have it and will be going back to read it. This book is really great and a must read for fantasy lovers.
