At the time, the Triple J was his home, and Callie was his love, but he has a promise of his own as well. Mica vows to seek revenge against Callie and her family by taking the things he knows she values the most: her ranch and her freedom. However once Mica has Callie, he realizes that young girl he was in love with is now a strong, independent woman who has won his heart again. Although he knew his goal was to seek revenge he finds that his priorities have changed, and now he must work at winning Callie’s heart. Mica and Callie are likeable characters who draw the reader with their turbulent past and longstanding love for each other. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Mica and Callie’s relationship develop into a full blown romance; the heat between these two was scorching. Mica is a strong-willed alpha who learns that love can conquer all. Callie is also strong-willed, but learns to accept help from her partner rather than attempt to do everything on her own. For the Love of Callie is a true love story with all the elements of heartbreak, revenge, and reconciliation that will leave the reader sighing in satisfaction at the end. I highly recommend this story by Ms. Casper and look forward to reading more of her work.
