Better yet, will she succumb to Ty's advances as he begins to pursue his foxy lady?
As a fan of the Cougar Falls series, I have always hoped that Ty and Julia would get a story of their own. While I did enjoy this story overall, I noticed that most of the Cougar Falls books seem to feature a heroine facing harassment by a group of dim-witted men. Predictably, the hero must step in and save the day. Although I found myself laughing on several occasions at the antics of Harte's "bad guys", I also found myself wishing that the female characters were more empowered. Don't get me wrong, the love scenes between town hottie Sheriff Ty and straight-laced Julia were smoking. But this book left me wanting more– more pages, more female character development, and more background on Ty and Julia's relationship. I can't wait for Harte's next Cougar Falls installment.
