| Benita Kyser is a geologist on a mineral hunt in Sardinia, Italy. Beni has an extra intuitive sense in locating hidden mineral deposits and believes they are close to the mysterious Anglesite. Somebody, though, doesn't want the Anglesite located and mysterious events begin to occur. Benita's tools disappear. Meanwhile, a radical ecoterrorist group has issued multiple threats against the site, the university and the corporation sponsoring the study. However, Beni and her group are unaware of the threats and the private investigator sent to assist must do so incognito.
Beni and Sean get off to a rather poor beginning when she finds him in her tent and stabs him, thinking he is an intruding thief. However, her real danger is already right there with her in the encampment in the form of a sociopath who is determined to degrade her reputation and worse, someone who feels overlooked and wants to come out on top, no matter the cost to Beni or the expedition. Fractured Souls is an exciting story which captures the reader immediately. For anyone who loves suspense, mystery, thrillers, or just a general good read, pick this one up! This is an author to watch, and I plan to seek out all her other books and enjoy them!
