Andi Horton's planned trip to Colorado was to look for a new job so that she can relocate, instead she finds herself attacked and left for dead in a burning house. When she awakens it's to find a dead body and she becomes the prime suspect when Detective Mac McAndrews shows up. Now she and the policeman are searching for her missing friend in a mountainside casino town while avoiding a killer. Andi is reluctant to share with the tough man that she has psychic visions and he knows she is holding something back. Can she trust him to believe in her? Mac's past has taught him not to trust beautiful blondes but Andi gets under his defenses and he finds himself falling for her while trying to keep her alive.

This was an enjoyable romantic mystery. I found myself unable to put down this book as I just had to know what exactly Andi had gotten herself into. I do wish that the character of Louise had been a little more developed. I wish Louise's relationship with Andi had a little more background to it as this is the basis for the entire adventure. There were so many twists and turns in this story, so many different bad guys that I did not know what to expect next. Mac is a trustworthy and strong hero, what woman couldn't help but fall in love with him. The fact that Andi is planning on relocating solves the awful long distance relationship worry that is usually such a cliche in this situation. The setting played a key role in this story and the author made the destination sound so very appealing that I'd like to book my own vacation there. The slight touch of paranormal was nice and even if you are not a fan of that genre it will not spoil the book for you. The mystery itself was neither too hard nor too easy to solve and I liked the various surprises. This is a good solid read that I gladly recommend.
