With only one thing left, Nanashi begins telling a story of long ago surrounding the Nightwalker people. A tale involving hate, love and even the promise of hope, for two men that were meant to be together, the same way that Nanashi can only hope he and Silken will become in time.
Freedom Rising 2: What Price Freedom takes the reader on a journey into two men’s lives trying to comprehend their needs and their desires. The characters of Nanashi and Silken have a deep love that is often hard for Silken to express because of his past but the depth of love that Nanashi emits is strong enough to show Silken there is hope if he only gives in to his desires. The passion between the two really sizzles and almost burns through the pages. Willa Okati paints Silken as a compassionate man who is believable in every way as he faces many challenges in an effort to learn the real meaning of love. Ms. Okati does an amazing job in creating great connections between the characters making this a very intense read that completely absorbs the reader. It is a beautiful tale that reaches out in many different ways.
