Zinnia Hope has taken a local Appalachian lore, of magic and reincarnation, and turned it into a beautiful love story told in present day. I found her style eloquent and easy to follow, as she tells the story of our heroine’s lifetime in three parts or acts.

When the story begins Beth is young and on the verge of womanhood. She has her life planned and is ready to jump into the role of an independent artist. But as we all know life rarely follows our plans, yet she is tough and flows with the challenges and becomes more than she had thought possible.

Beth has several important men in her life and all are important, although one more so than the others. She learns about her own strengths and weaknesses from them, and grows from the experiences.

I enjoyed the very real world that Ms. Hope created. Her descriptions made me feel as though I could actually reach out and react with the scenery and animals she included in her story. The conversations between Beth and her family and friends are believable as are the actions and motives of all the characters.

Ms. Hope has a writing style that enables her to tell a story and make it seem as though you have read a much longer book. I look forward to reading her future endeavors.
