Barada Seven is a jungle planet where the inhabitants live in peace. Since no weapons are needed, no one is allowed on the planet with one. When Drusilla, a painter from Earth, arrives she expects peace and quiet to paint lots of birds. What she gets is anything but peace and quiet. She finds a very talkative lake creature and possibly the man of her dreams. Only, he is no ordinary man. He is a Zetithian, a nearly extinct race, with feline genes and the ability to pleasure women which makes them irresistible.

Manx has been hiding out on Barada Seven for about a year now. He has seen lots of tourists come and go, but when he lays eyes on Drusilla, he is drawn to her like no other. He believes he may have found his "one." Now, if he can just stay alive, he might finally find out what love is and be happy.

Ms. Brooks has a way of carrying the reader away to new worlds where strange creatures lurk and adventure is always to be found. I thoroughly enjoyed this story as I have each one in this series. From the moment Drusilla and Manx meet, the sexual tension between them simply sizzles and the journey to get to know them is an adventure in itself. However, this story is so much more than just Drusilla and Manx. The secondary characters make this story great. Zef, the Eltran in the lake, is hilarious. Even though he uses more curse words than anything else, you have to love him. And the glimpse into what the characters from previous books are up to is a great bonus. So if your looking for a great book with gorgeous cat-like aliens and so much more, this is it. I highly recommend not only this story, but this entire series as they are great reads by a talented author.
