| Antonia is completely in love with Danton. They were perfect together, both in and out of bed. Until he informs her he had to get married to another woman, because she is carrying his baby. Needless to say, Toni was heartbroken. Three months later she is still unable to get past just what they lost.
Danton has a nasty habit of double checking everything. The paternity of the child his new wife is carrying is no exception. So, before he will consummate the marriage, he double-checks all the facts. When the test comes back negative his first thought is to get the woman he loves back. No matter what the cost that is exactly what he intends to do and he will leave Toni no choice when he discloses everything to her. Mary Wine has written a great story that will leave the reader thinking. What would they do? Can you really fix a heart so completely broken? I have to say, I did enjoy going along with Danton and Toni as they struggle with this very dilemma. This was a well-written tale of love, loss and the struggle for redemption and the renewal of trust that I think anyone who loves a good romance will enjoy. This is a keeper.
