| Terra is driving home one stormy night before Christmas, when she
almost hits a man lying in the road. The man has evidently been hit
by another car, and she doesn't know how badly he is hurt or how long
he has been lying there in the cold. He wakes long enough to tell her
not to call a doctor, and with his help, she gets him back to her
cabin. She doctors his injuries, which heal amazingly fast, almost as
fast as she falls in lust with him. The next morning she finds out
the feeling is mutual, over and over again. Cassius, a werewolf, has
been saving himself for his one mate; for the last 57 years! He is
more than able to make up for lost time, but can he convince Terra
that they are meant to be together forever?
Ms. King's heroine is very real. She's alone at Christmas until she meets Cassius. This year, Terra really gets what she wants for Christmas! Although believing in a 57-year-old virgin werewolf is a little bit of a stretch, somehow, the author is successful and makes it work. The two main characters are very real, vivid, and likable. The plot line is involving and moves very quickly. Overall, I enjoyed this Christmas novella.
