| Another witch has killed Ursel Seagrave's lover, stolen her powers, and turned her into a stone statue. One hundred twenty one years later horror novelist Remington Chase owns Seaton Court and its gardens. He has always been drawn to the statue of the woman reclining on a bench in the south garden. She was the inspiration for his very first story and Remington's sexual fantasies. He changes the words from a spellbook and finds himself with a very real naked woman in his arms.
This was a quick erotic read and I enjoyed this imaginative escape. I loved Ursel's child-like joy in her discoveries of modern life, her zeal was infectious. While I liked the exploration of reincarnation I would have enjoyed learning more about Cadman to better understand the blending of her old lover with the present day Remington. I also would have liked to see the villain more deeply developed. The plot is fast paced and fun and the storyline fanciful. I'll admit I'm a sucker for a unique read with a solid "Happily Ever After" and this is certainly one.
