| Amy Rover and her good friend Tessa McMurray take a trip to England to find out just what Amy has inherited. To both their surprise, they learn that Amy has just inherited a castle. It may be a run down castle but Amy intends to fix it and make it into a wonderful hotel. The two friends put their all into the renovations and soon find out that there is a legend that goes with the castle. The legend tells of the real owner of the castle being a gargoyle and the girls capitalize on it, using it for theme of the hotel including a grand party on Halloween. As the time draws near for the opening, Amy and Tessa confide in each other that they have been having erotic dreams and jokingly wish for the men in their dreams to become real. Will they be granted their wishes or will they be forever only happy in their dreams?
Sally Painter weaves a wonderful story that grabs the reader from the first page. This story has a good storyline and is well written which keeps the reader's attention. Tessa and Amy are long time friends and the reader can see how much they care for each other. Each friend being protective and supportive of the other, from Tessa agreeing to help Amy renovate the run down castle to Amy trying to help Tessa over her recent break up. From the moment we meet the gargoyles, we can see that they care for the girls and that they would do anything for them. The relationship that builds between each couple is a beautiful and hot read. I enjoyed reading about two smart women who can undertake a business without having to refer to a man. And of course, who wouldn't enjoy her own castle with a hunky hero included?
