Gargoyle’s Dominion by Nia K. Foxx is an interesting and innovative tale. It is a about a world where things exist such as gargoyles, fairies, and trolls. The characters are colorful and the story is filled with intrigue as the different beings interact. Lorn is very aggressive and although he is definitely an alpha male seems a little over the top. This may be normal for gargoyles. I wished, as I read, that there was a little more information about the normal behavior and transformation process that the gargoyles and their mates go through. He is jealous and seems capable of being abusive in the beginning but does seem to mellow a little after the relationship is successful. The passion between Lorn and Fatima is scorching, described in delicious details making it easily visualized by the reader. The dialogue is well written and flows smoothly making for a fast read. A different kind of story, creative, and passionate it will surely be enjoyed by many.
