| Fatima is a doctor with a special interest in gargoyles. She has always been fascinated with them and is now one of the top speakers. When she sees the tall sexy man at the conference where she is speaking, she is attracted to him but doesn't think much of it. When he hires her to look at real proof that gargoyles exist, she knows she is in big trouble. After one night with him she thinks it's best if they keep their relationship strictly business, but will she be able to keep that vow?
Lorn knows that gargoyles exist because after all he is one. He has no idea how Fatima knows so much about his race, but he intends to find out. From the second he meets her he knows there is something different about her. Could this be Lorn's mate or is he just grasping at straws because he doesn't want to let the intriguing woman go? Lorn must ensure that his people's history is preserved for future generations, but instead may find a love unlike any he's ever known. This is the first book in the Gargoyle series and makes for a very interesting beginning. Fatima is intelligent and brassy with an attitude that readers will love. Lorn is sexy in a dark and dangerous sort of way that will curl readers toes. The intensity of their interactions is so strong readers feel as if they are experiencing it first hand. The story of the gargoyles makes an interesting backdrop. I can't wait to see what Nia Foxx comes up with for the next story in the gargoyle series.
