This is an emotional roller coaster that takes the reader through a full spectrum of feelings. Callie must conquer her own fear to take care of her daughter. A daughter she fears may be taken from her or punished for her behavior. She worries about the daughter with her and desperately wants to return to her daughter that is left on Earth. Callie is strong and stubborn she is not easily subdued. She feels guilt and shame for the attraction she feels for the king and the satisfaction she finds in his arms. The sex scenes are excitingly stimulating and described in steamy explicit detail. Each scene is easily visualized through the descriptive words of the author. The dialogue is well written and flows easily making for a fast paced read. A steamy read that will stimulate the imagination of the reader, The Reluctant Concubine by Eve Vaughn is sure to be enjoyed.
