Vortrent "Trent" Light is a ghostbuster, street performer and magician wrapped up in one uber sexy Irish package. He is in Key West to clear Calloway House of its stubborn ghosts. When Julie Calloway, the granddaughter of the former owner, arrives Trent finds himself indelibly drawn to her.

Julie Calloway has come to Key West to take over her late grandmother's bed and breakfast. Julie is immediately taken by Trent's sexy manner though she is a bit shy after her recent divorce. To complicate matters, restless spirits are haunting Calloway House. One ghost in particular seeks Julie's help to find eternal peace. Now Trent and Julie must put their romantic entanglements aside to help the ghosts find peace.

I so enjoyed reading The Ghosts of Key West. Therese MacFarland is an author with an amazing talent for creating interesting characters and a wholly immersive storyline. Julie and Trent are like people I know and it was very easy to become emotionally involved with them. Trent was the hunky and sometimes obtuse hero who was living with the guilt of lost loved ones while Julie was like a plain jane who was re-emerging as a confident and sexy woman after a past relationship damaged her self-esteem.

The Ghosts of Key West has a little something for everyone-suspense, supernatural elements, humor and hot sex. Also, the secondary characters added depth and heart to the book, as well as the promise of more books telling of the further adventures of the Light family. I am never disappointed by Ms. MacFarland's impressive imagination and will continue to read everything she writes.
