| Larue Donavan is a psychic medium and ghostbuster on nights and weekends, and a ordinary bookstore owner during the day. Dead people follow her home regularly and some of them stay. Currently Abraham Lincoln is around giving Larue dating advice and it is driving her crazy. When a gorgeous man, Callahan Weiss, opens a coffee store right next door, Larue is very interested. Then he begins to act very strange and Brianna, the boutique owner across the street seems to have swept him off his feet. Oh well maybe Larue is just not meant to find love. Most people can’t handle the talking to ghost part of her life anyway so it is probably just as well that Callahan prefers Brianna. If only Callahan wasn’t acting so weird, almost like an animated zombie?
Me and My Ghoul Friends is a funny, slightly irreverent, look at life as a medium for a relatively normal person. Larue is witty, sarcastic, and committed to her role of helping ghost cross over as well as helping out the people the ghost are haunting. Callahan seems like a really nice guy before he appears to have lost his personality and starts seeing Brianna. Brianna is just pure nasty! But with the help of Larue’s ghost pals and her best friend Mindy, maybe they can figure out what is really going on. The change in Callahan is too strange and Brianna is acting nastier than ever; she is obviously up to no good. I really enjoyed this amusing tale and especially the antics of the ghosts! I like this arena of paranormal tales with mediums and their ghostly interactions and this story is one of my favorites! I hope there will be a sequel and soon. I would love to read more about Larue and her ghost adventures! This story is so charming, witty, and entertaining and I’m sure Ms. Pressey can do it again!
