Lady Rebecca Hastings always had a certain vivaciousness but her spirit has not bounced back from the death of her betrothed. Her intended appears to her on what would have been their wedding day and encourages her to let go. When Adrian, Marquess of Burton shares memories of their childhood together, she is aware of her longtime feelings for him. Can they have a happy future together?

This was an engaging and lively Regency quick read. I completely enjoyed this sweet, enjoyable holiday read that didn't have to be read during the Christmas season to be appreciated. I loved the subtle paranormal theme joined with historical holiday fare. Lady Rebecca is very easy to empathize with and I found myself holding my breath hoping that she would indeed find happiness. Adrian is a wonderful hero and I believe I lost a little piece of my heart to him. My favorite part of the entire story was when her betrothed filled in the background in such a straightforward manner. I'd love to see his younger brother get his own story. This will appeal to regency or paranormal fans; it would also be a treat for those who enjoy holiday reads.
