Wish Granters, Inc. is in danger of disappearing forever. The organization who made Cinderella’s dreams come true has been a victim of the world of the present where people have lost hope and ceased to believe in magic. They have one more chance. Eileen Pringle’s mother has bequeathed her a wish, all Miranda Saintly has to do is to help her get it by the New Year. Sounds easy, doesn’t it? Eileen’s wish for true love will be a problem. Her father died after a long illness that Eileen alone nursed him through, and left everything to her stereotypical evil stepmother, and the man she is in love with is in love with her beautiful and equally evil stepsister. Wish Granters, Inc. has their work cut out for them.

Ms. Anderson has written a really great story here. Eileen has been victimized by her whole family, yet isn’t acting like a pathetic martyr. Her father’s betrayal alone would have been enough to destroy most people. She comes back to work to find that they have lost a revolutionary new program to corporate espionage, and the FBI is investigating the company for a computer hacker. Some welcome back. I was impressed by the way she handled it. The FBI agent is very appealing; he does seem to fall in love and ask Eileen to marry him a bit quickly, but magic is magic, he also seems to give up too easily. Miranda and Gus are great characters and often funny in the way they help Eileen. Her stepmother and stepsister are self involved and just plain nasty. Brock is spoiled and does not deserve Eileen. I loved the twists and turns in the story would love to see more of Wish Granters, Inc.
