| Pea Chamberlain is in desperate need of a makeover-her hair frizzes and she has no idea what kind of clothes to wear. Venus, the Goddess of Love, on a trip to Tulsa meets Pea and decides that she needs Venus' help. Venus is married to Vulcan, the God of Fire, in a friendship only marriage. Hera, Vulcan's mother, wants to help her son be happy and watches over him. Vulcan also comes to Tulsa and is just amazed by Pea. At the same time, Venus falls for fire-fighter Griffin DeAngelo. How will these mortals, Gods and Goddesses work out all of these complications?
Goddess Of Love is the fifth book in Ms. Cast's Goddess Summoning series. This time the story is about THE Goddess of Love, Venus. Pea has been interested in Griffin, who never remembers her. I just loved the interaction between Venus and Pea. Venus is sure that all she needs to do is encourage Pea to feel the love and help her learn to fix her hair and dress properly. Pea is an incredible character; she only needs to learn how to do what's best and she is able to continue herself. The plot is well-written, although I thought that it was a bit long. The love continues with a mortal and God(dess); Pea and Vulcan, and Griffin and Venus. Both sets of main characters have incredibly HOT sex and I was aroused throughout. Interestingly, each character helps the others, not just Vulcan and Venus helping the mortals. There are many secondary characters who helped pull me into the story. There were hysterically funny scenes, as well as sad scenes. I was tossed around as the plot changed. Ms. Cast has an amazing ability to write her books and I am eager to find the four earlier books and plan to enjoy the entire series.
