| Allison Morrison was a twenty eight year-old publicist. She worked for Michelle McCarter who constantly got herself into trouble. Not only trouble developed, but her attitude was awful. She treated Allison like a slave—only paying her part of her expenses and demanding that she drop everything to do her personal bidding. Allison had no personal life especially when Michelle’s nude picture showed up in the tabloids. Michelle demanded that Allison drop everything and come to Hawaii that very day. Sometimes things happen that cannot be helped.
Wes Hamilton was a world-renowned surfer. He saw Allison and immediately pursued her on the trip. When their plane had mechanical failure and they were forced to stay overnight before getting to Hawaii, he kept Allison with him. Michelle didn’t like it when she saw Wes and Allison’s pictures in the paper the next morning. There would be trouble when they got to their destination. Cate Masters took this plot and worked it into a great work even though it was not a long book. This story covered so much territory and was so compelling I did not want to put it down. The actions taken by the couple, the employers, and the tabloid photographers were so believable. It was as if I was there watching the story unfold. The conflict was great. The sexual encounters were sizzling and the ending was unexpected. There were moments of poignant emotional conflict. I liked this book and would recommend it to everyone.
