| Miles Roderick is a shrewd business man that has built an empire from the ashes of his family business. Suddenly after five years he's slapped in the face with the reality that his ex-fiancée didn't leave him standing at the aisle but was seriously injured in a plane crash on her way to be with him. Being the barer of bad news, her cousin explains how hard she worked to be with Miles and she'd spent the last five years in a coma, and had finally died in peace six months ago. Miles is very taken with Leslie and it isn't hard to see the sparks flying between the two.
Leslie Winter had decided to take a trip to New Zealand to explain to Miles that no one knew of their engagement and that's why he was never contacted. The plan was to break the news of death, give him some of Lesann's personal belongings, and be on her way. When Miles witnesses her extreme jet lag, Leslie finds herself neatly tucked in a guest bedroom at his home. When Leslie woke up with Miles standing over her calling her Lesann, she was furious. But he lights a fire of passion when he pulls her into a fiery kiss. This story was excellent. Not only are the characters real and down to earth, but Cassandra Gale deals with some real life issues that today's women face. The love scenes are as hot as the plot is intense. And I think I need to mention that the loves scenes are very tastefully written. Definitely a must read!
