| Grace and her sisters started Sweet Treats Bakery with funds left to the four young woman after the death of their parents. Grace and her best friend forever (Brent) had been together until one day prior to senior year of high school, Grace ran into Dan. They had gotten married quickly and had a son. He died a few years before this story. She was still wearing her wedding ring. Her son, Adam, wanted a baby brother. How was she going to raise her son, run the bakery, be a great sister to her siblings and continue to be a friend to Brent when her feelings were changing?
Brent Peterson had loved Grace since kindergarten. He just never told her. When she fell so hard for the new guy, Brent was devastated. He left their hometown, went to college, and eventually, he felt he had to return. Now he was determined that between his own feelings and God's help, he would win her love. How else could he survive? Ms. Mary Manners has, once again, written a book that does many things. She reunites us with a couple from the first book in the series, introduces us to the lives of the main characters now, and interacts with the others that we'll see more of in the future. I love her series. She can give more information in fewer words than anyone I know of. She gives the impression of having read myriad pages because we are given such insight into the characters. This happily-ever-after was certainly unique. I love her writing technique. She has quickly become a "must-read" for me. All I need to see is her name and I'm positive it's a book I'll love. I recommend this book to anyone. It's a great look at romance for all ages.
