| Grady is a top of the line soldier for the Alvian race. His latest mission is to track down and eliminate a rogue warrior. However, Grady was recently given a drug to restore his emotions, something the Alvian race has bred out of their species. Gina is a human who is living with a special group of Alvian's that many don't know about. She meets Grady and they are attracted to each other but their respective missions take them in two different directions. Gina meets up with an old friend, Jim, from her past and she also has feelings for him. It isn't long before Grady's mission intersects with Gina's and Gina will be forced to choose between Jim and Grady.
This is the fourth book in the Resonance Mates series. Each book furthers the overall plot but I must say they are getting more and more predictable. As a stand alone the book is very good but as a continuation of the series I was a little disappointed. I'm hoping with the foreshadowing at the end of this one that we will see something new and exciting happening in the future books. I liked Gina for her physical abilities but she seemed kind of bland. Grady and Jim, for all their alpha status, seemed at times not to take charge with Gina. Other times they were true to form. The book was well written and while the pacing wasn't consistently fast moving I kept reading it hoping to see something happening to jumpstart my interest. While this book wasn't my favorite from the series, I am looking forward to future books and hope to see more action from all the races involved.
