Jordan is not a person who likes ballet. So when he finds himself watching his niece in "The Nutcracker", he not exactly having a good time until he sees one of the dancers doing a sensuous "Arabian" pas de deux. That night the same dancer shows up in Jordan's emergency room, with a potentially career ending injury. Jordan is instantly attracted to Davis and the feeling is mutual. The two men spend a magical twenty-four hours together and Jordan begins to wonder if he has given his heart to someone who has more important things to do than him. Can the two men find a common ground to bring them together?

This was a nice romantic read. While the plot itself is not necessarily new, the author puts her own unique spin on it, which makes it more enjoyable. The story is somewhat of a Christmas fairy tale, it's one of those stories that make one want to believe in love at first sight, or that love should be able to overcome any obstacle. Jordan and Davis are well written, the author does a great job bringing two seemingly different characters together and making them compatible and likeable, even if they seem too perfect at times. Jordan's family adds a bit of flavor to the story, bringing out the quirks and humor that comes from having a loving and close knit family. I like that the adults interacted with the children and that they were not forgotten, adding that little bit extra to the story and making it more believable. There are plenty of sultry and sometimes touching m/m situations throughout the book, but they are well suited to the characters. This is one of those stories that will make you feel good reading it even when there is conflict, just because you know that good always prevails.
