Tara Ryan's sister has been missing for over five years and she and her father know Susan is dead. When a human bone is discovered in the wilderness where her sister had been working, Tara travels to British Columbia to find the truth. Who could have predicted she would grow so close to Joshua Nelson in the short time she has been in the beautiful tourist town? The only problem is that he and his brother are two of her prime suspects.

This was a very descriptive romantic suspense story. The wilderness and wildlife seemed to jump off the page almost as if one of Joshua's canvases had materialized. Many of the scenes were illustratively detailed and I especially enjoyed the glimpse of Tara's work in Montana. I wish I could say that I enjoyed this story but I felt no connection with either of the main characters even though they both had such fascinating potential. I did, however, take joy in reading the interactions and antics of Mrs. Marian and Mr. Dorsett. I'm sad to say I figured out the mystery very early on and for an such an adventurous premise the story seemed to really drag.
