| Gillian's high school years were horrible. After a dateless prom, she decided to venture off to Hollywood to make it big as an actress. When those dreams failed, she returned to her hometown in shame. After running into an old high school crush who'd never even glanced her way, she's reminded of just why she had a crush on him. But will Greyson ever look her way or does he still see her as the outcast she was in high school.
Greyson has spent his life a stranger in his own home. Sure, it was nice to grow up as one of the rich and popular kids in school, but none of them had any clue what his home life was like. With a mother and father who obviously didn't want him, life wasn't easy. After high school he took off for parts unknown, but is called back years later at his dying mother's request. With his father missing, things couldn't get any worse. But when he sees Gillian in the diner, something inside him tells him to go to her. Can she accept him now and forgive him for how he treated her in the past? This was a good read, though hard to follow in a couple of places. At the beginning, and again at the end, the order of events jumped around a little bit and I had to stop and figure out was happening and what had happened. I think most people reading this story can relate to one of the main characters, as we all know how bad, or how good, high school can be and how hard it is to see some of those people afterwards. The story line was a sweet one and I enjoyed seeing it unfold.
