Josh Friedland and his brother Laurie play for the prestigious Manchester Rovers Football Club which has just been purchased by a millionaire from San Francisco in the United States. Laurie has gone missing on a visit to New York and Josh has lost contact through their mental link. Cristos, head of Dept 57, a talented branch of the CIA, can tell him only that Laurie was last seen leaving for San Francisco with a blonde. When Josh comes to San Francisco on publicity tour to look for Laurie, the new owner of the Manchester Rovers, George Skeffington, insists Josh stay at his home. Skeffington has a beautiful, blonde step-daughter, Chana Rafiz, who attracts Josh like no woman ever has before. Was she the blonde responsible for Lauries disappearance? Is she the bait in a trap set for Josh?

A Griffins Treasure is the second book in the Dept 57 series and it is every bit as great as the first one. The plot is multi-layered and wonderful; Lauries disappearance isnt the only mystery. The main characters are exceptionally well developed and many of the secondary characters from the first book are back for more. The sex is glorious and well worth the wait. Josh is an extraordinarily sensitive and giving lover, contrary to his footballer public persona. He is also an admirable hero; his dedication to his brother is, in the beginning, the driving force behind all he does. As a talent, or paranormal being, he has that little something extra we mere mortals can usually only dream or read about. Whether dreaming or only reading, Josh is one hero you wont want to miss. Youve got to read this one.
