| WOW! This quick read is amazingly erotic and sensually uninhibited. This candid look at the Groom’s Gift begs for more! Beth Kery has written a highly corporeal study of what can happen if a woman puts her whole being on the line for what she wants.
Olivia (Libby) Taylor was an occupational therapist at the Low Vision Rehabilitation Center where Nathan Waite was treated after his stroke and becoming blind. His son, John Waite, the groom in this book, lived in Chicago but worked in New York. The connection between the groom, his bride-to-be, Estelle Gish, his father, Nathan, and Malcolm’s mate, Ced, was complicated. Malcolm and Ced, friends of Libby’s, were hired to cater John and Estelle’s wedding and make her wedding dress. The fact that Libby had never met John, but was insanely in love with him, was the perfect twist to this book! When Nathan was working with Libby, she presented him with a computer to speed his recovery; he read to her daily from Newsweek or any other articles John had written for his job as reporter for Xtreme Sport. She fell in love. Her friends gave a party to introduce Libby and John; he met Estelle. Now, three days before the wedding, Libby had one more trick up her sleeve. She could not allow John to marry Estelle without ever even having one kiss! This is a marvelously exciting, edgy tale about one night—the gift of Libby to John for his wedding gift from his friends, Malcolm and Ced. It has a surprising, though somewhat predictable, ending which is totally worth your time. I recommend it to all who might be interested in frank, bordering on bondage, sensual activity!
