| Denise Hopkins is magically transported back to the year 1470 Scotland. There she takes the place of a woman to be married. Before she is married her fiancé is killed by Charles McGowen, who claims she was betrothed to him on her naming day. Charles marries her and takes her back to his clan to live. She discovers quickly that she is not meant to be a wife in the traditional sense to Charles. He has had male lovers ever since he was wounded in battle and he has chosen his younger brother to impregnate his wife.
A fascinating journey into the past, Seducing Sir Gwain by Shari Dari is a passionate time-travel romance that proves love overcomes all obstacles. Fully developed characters with strong personalities help to bring the story to life in this medieval setting. Denise is a woman that never had the sex life she would have chosen. She has been taken back and given another chance at youth to experience all she desires. Charles is a sad and angry character. He has decided he can only have a male lover due to the fact he is unable to function physically as a male. This has led him to think less of himself. Denise helps him to better accept his role but I felt this could have been expanded to show he could still have a woman as a lover if he had chosen. Gwain is the handsome hero that has always been resented by Charles. This is hard to understand except to see that Charles acts as he was taught. Gwain is the considerate lover that falls in love with a woman not his own. This is a highly erotic story filled with many passionate scenes of steamy sex described delightfully in graphic detail. Seducing Sir Gwain by Shari Dare is a creative story that crosses time to bring two lovers together in a tale filled with romance and passion.
