When handsome Gage Dougherty walks into The Zodiac, bartender Sable Castle is instantly smitten. Gage seems to be reciprocating the instant attraction by catching Sable's eye several times, and subtly flirting with her. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to Sable, Gage is looking for a serious relationship, not another fling. Sable is just the opposite. She hasn't had any flings recently, but from the moment she sets eyes on Gage, she wants him in her bed.

Though he's ready to settle down and start a family, Gage can't get the beautiful and vivacious Sable out of his head. He visits the bar even though he knows he should stay away. He seems to run into her all over town and as he gets to know her, he can't help but think that there is so much more to her hidden beneath her "party girl" veneer. He decides to get to know her better in the hopes that his intuition is correct and that Sable may just be the perfect woman for him after all. But Sable's mind is made up. She knows she's not good at relationships. Her own familial relationships are severely lacking and she doesn't want to risk falling in love with Gage. He isn't about to give up on her however and he sets out to win her heart and prove that what they have is too good to be labeled as a fling.

Gypsy Heart is a moving and sensual love story involving two characters who this reviewer felt an instant connection to. From the moment I started reading, Sable's warm and free-spirited personality drew me in, while Gage's loneliness and search for the right woman proved to be the perfect introduction to his character. These are two people that are perfect together but neither seems to realize it. However, their relationship evolves smoothly with not only lots of romantic displays of affections but also a growing trust that solidified their love. This is a story you will have to read in one sitting because it is so character driven that these characters won't let you go until you find out how they get their happily-ever-after. The Zodiac proves to be the perfect setting too, as it allows Gage and Sable to get to know each other while also establishing their personalities in regards to others in the community. While I was sad to see the story end, I can't help but hope that Ms. White has plans for a sequel involving some of the secondary characters.
